I'm thinking I should probably take it to a service center / apple store? I'd like to get the hardware associated with my apple ID, but if you know of an easier way, please let me know as I can work on hardware too and thought that when I have time I'd take it apart and clean it, etc. So, I'm kinda stuck not knowing what to do. So, now it also needs cleaned, although it works perfect with the wireless mouse and apple wired keyboard. Then to top it all off I spilled coke on the keyboard by accident. I'm a software engineer by trade or was in the past before contracting an illness and want to get back into it, but that's another story.Īnyway, I'm not sure, but I'm wondering if I'm locked out because of the fact that my mac book pro is tied to the original owner or the ID of the original owner and of course I don't know his password or mac ID, but I'm not able to get certain OS updates for instance because of this. I'm at work now and on my acer Chrome book, but I want to use the Mac Book pro for the New Swift Language and to learn the same. I also found out that my Mac Book Pro probably has a new logic board as it has no serial number. ![]() ![]() I didn't know that I needed to erase the OS and install again, etc. I originally bought my Mac Book Pro at a pawn shop where I work. I checked all those links and I think I found the problem maybe.
